Coddenham Open Gardens and Scarecrows 28th June 2026

Can you help?

We need as many gardens to open as possible. It’s great fun, you meet lots of people and showcase our village to the outside world in a positive way. If you’ve not opened your garden before and are worried about what’s involved, then just call me on the number below or email and I’ll chat through it with you. Repeat openers always tell me how much they enjoy the day.

We need as many scarecrows as we can to adorn the village. This year’s theme is Superheroes so let your imagination run wild and involve the whole family especially the children. If you don’t have anywhere available to display your scarecrow, then give me a call or email and I’ll arrange to place it somewhere in the village for you. Our very own Brenda Hudson will be the judge this year and we have Adult and Child categories

Helpers on the day are vital and if you can spare some time to help Tony and his team in the park with carparking or on setting up or maybe helping with the tea coffee and cakes in the hall or church it would be great. Even a couple of hours is really helpful. Please let me know.
