Well, doesn’t time fly! It’s hard to believe it’s already been three weeks since the Coddenham Fete — and I’m still feeling incredibly grateful.

Not only did we welcome over 500 visitors, but we were also blessed with perfect weather. Had it been the weekend before or after, it could’ve been a very different story!

This was my first time organising the Coddenham Fete, and I feel so lucky to have been part of something with such a strong legacy — and, clearly, a widespread desire to keep it going. It truly was a celebration of community.

To everyone who helped make the day such a success — thank you. Over 40 volunteers gave their time and energy to create a fantastic afternoon.

I’ve received some lovely feedback (thank you!), but I want to emphasise: this was a real team effort from start to finish.

From the Magic Marquee team, poster design, social media, car park signage, first aid, cake donations, games, brick-a-brac, Tombola, Wine or Water, the Produce Show, raffle, face painting, bar, and our brilliant dance crew — every detail was powered by someone in this amazing community.

Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we’ve raised over £1,800, with more than £1,000 going directly toward the Play Park project. Every penny goes back into supporting and enriching our village.

What’s next?
We’ll be back with the Coddenham Fete in 2027, but before that — mark your calendars for Open Gardens on 28th June 2026!
