LATEST NEWS

Our free fish & chips (thankyou Suffolk Community Foundation & EoE Co-Op) will have been allocated this week, (if enjoying, please donate to our food bank collection), but there are two more weeks left of WARM SPACE with our lovely soup home-made from Community Shop vegetables every Friday. It’s been such a social event, we are going to carry on with a free PLOUGHMAN’S LUNCH the last Friday of the next few months, courtesy of remaining funds from MSDC and our volunteers. Next date the 28th April.
We look forward to seeing you at the CPC LITTER PICK this Saturday 18th at 9.30am. At 2.30pm, CODDENHAM ATHLETIC FOOTBALL CLUB play LAXFIELD in a semi final that may see your ‘home’ team get to the final of the league. Come and cheer them on! There is also an all-day, WOMENS YOGA & COACHING WORKSHOP starting at 9.30am. A few spaces may still be available. Go to https://www.thecoddenhamcentre.co.uk/the-free-women-workshop-with-guest-host-claire-leonie-coaching/
The same applies to our two-part GET NORDIC WALKING beginners class, which runs from 10.30am – 12pm on Sunday (and then at the same time on Sunday 26th). Book a place or make it a Mothers Day gift with one of our vouchers. There will still be time for lunch! https://www.thecoddenhamcentre.co.uk/get-nordic-walking-new-course/
Don’t forget the CHOOSE REFILLS van 10am – 12pm will be on the park on Sunday morning 19th. Save that packaging and refill at bargain prices, while enjoying the best Java at THE COFFEE STATION, 10am – 1pm.
The increasingly popular SCRAPBOOKING session returns on Thursday the 23rd March from 9.30 to noon. Organise those memories over coffee/ tea and conversation.
Saturday April 1st, the FIRE & ICE event will see 60 people walking on fire and ice (broken glass) in the afternoon, all in aid of SUFFOLK MIND. You can still apply, sponsor or donate if you are quick! https://www.thecoddenhamcentre.co.uk/do-you-dare-a-spectacular-event-in-aid-of-suffolk-mind/
On 17th April 10am – 11am we welcome our first of our weekly class of SILVER SWANS. Professionally coached ballet for the over ’55’s in association with the Royal Academy of Dance. Fun, exercise, breathtaking music.
On the 23rd April we introduce our new MARKET BRUNCH, our popular Brunch accompanied by market stalls.  Browse, Brunch & Buy! We’ll be using the opportunity to introduce a free taster of our new TENNIS SCHOOL led by Carl Douglas Coaching. There will be demonstrations of Walking Tennis, Cardio Tennis, Mini Tennis and regular coaching too. Kids welcome plus the voice of RHIANNA ROSE to entertain you.
Looking further ahead, it’s the CORONATION BRUNCH Sunday May 7th from 10.30 to 2pm. We’ll celebrate with a full Brunch PLUS our reasonably priced BAR with local Victoria Ale, Bucks Fizz and great ENTERTAINMENT. A collection will be taken, but with the additional aid of our sponsors you’ll be able to enjoy the BODY & SOUL trio, the EAST SUFFOLK MORRIS MEN and shanty’s from the SHOTLEY WAILERS.
Lots more happening, with the CODDENHAM STORES CENTENARY and the CODDENHAM PICNIC later this year, plus don’t forget our many weekly active wellbeing classes, baby sensory, toddlers groups, bowls, dance and walks for all!
We’ve recently reported a 32% growth with your help, so thank-you. Look out for the new solar energy install starting next week, kind to the planet and kind to our electricity bills!
Go to www.thecoddenhamcentre.co.uk for details of all the events and activities here and in the future, who we are, how we operate, manage money and help Suffolk become the Greenest County. You are welcome to book your own events and don’t forget, we always appreciate (more) volunteers! Send your details or any questions to  enquiries@thecoddenhamcentre.co.uk
We also welcome reviews please. https://g.page/r/CQHCzn8zu-AGEB0/review
Have a Great Weekend!
